Sparky, the fire dog, came to visit our students today to teach them about fire safety. They learned to listen for a smoke alarm, to talk with their families about their fire escape plan, and to practice the plan. Sparky showed the children how to get low and move under the smoke. He also reminded them never to use matches or lighters and to stay away from hot things. It was a fun, interactive time learning about fire safety. The children also learned a few things about Sparky. He likes pizza and loves to play hide and seek.
