In honor of Thanksgiving, all our students made butter for their families’ Thanksgiving feasts. We began with room-temperature whipping cream. We used an old butter churn, a new butter churn, and we tried shaking our whipping cream in a jar while reciting the poem

Shake, shake, shake. Butter we will make. 
Churn, churn, churn. Now it’s your turn.

The students loved tasting the butter on their crackers. Yum!
