We have been learning all about apples. The children peeled them, tasted different varieties, and made individual apple pies. Yum!

As we celebrate Native American Heritage Month, we began by exploring maize, the special gift shared at the first Thanksgiving feast. The entire school is learning to shuck corn and tasting it in many ways. We are making cornbread, corn on the cob, and popping corn. We were so surprised when our colorful dried corn popped white and not calico!
