Spiders up close!

“Be Nice to Spiders” morning at the Co-op. Our parent, Dr. Hands, brought his many live spiders for the students to see and learn about. The children had so many questions: How long do they live? What do they eat? Do all spiders make webs? How many legs?

Dr. Hands was kind enough to donate several spider molts so the children can continue examining them in each classroom’s science center. We extended the learning with art, our spider snack, and music and movement with the classic “There’s a Spider on the Floor” by Raffi.
