The Northaven Co-op enjoyed a visit from our mascot, Hedgy the hedgehog. We learned that hedgehogs are nocturnal, forage for insects, and hibernate in the winter. Hedgehogs have a soft belly, roll into a small ball when frightened, and make grunting sounds like a pig. Hedgy enjoyed the visit and was very patient with the children touching him ever so gently.
