Making gingerbread houses is a favorite for young and old at Christmas time. Ms. Lee prepared the houses and supplied the various candies to decorate them. The children listened to the story of the Gingerbread Man and made gingerbread cookies. In Ms. Vicki’s class, two cookies were missing when they came out of the oven. The children went looking for them, and as one student suggested, the class followed the crumbs. Indeed, the cookies had escaped and were found hiding in the blocks outside.
