Parents at Home

• DO NOT CALL THE SCHOOL OR SCHRIEBER.  Wait to be contacted so phone lines will be open.
• You may be asked to contact other parents in your class.  Make a list of parents you could NOT reach and give this to the Director when you pick up your child at the evacuation shelter.

Parents on Co-op Duty

• Help your teacher remember the Emergency Bag
• Count the children to make sure none are left behind;  follow them out of the building and across the parking to the meeting spot for the class
• Count the children again and report any missing children to the teacher
• Pin name tags from the Emergency Bag to each child
• Wait for your ride to the shelter or for the director to assign you to drive
• 4’s & 5’s only:  You will assume the “Teacher” role and the parent on office duty will assist you.

Parent on Office Duty

• Take the portable phone and the RED Crisis Plan Notebook to the Director
• Assist the co-op parent in the Director’s classroom with evacuation of the children (see above instructions)
• If the Director’s class is not at school that day, the teacher of the next oldest class will assume the Director role.  Take the phone and notebook to her and help in that class.
