Faculty

 

Kathy Delsanter earned a B.A. from Cornell University with a major in Psychology.  She held a teaching assistantship at the Cornell Laboratory Nursery School and has an M.S. in Child Development from Cornell.  Kathy received her Ph.D. from East Texas State University in Early Childhood Education.  She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Delta Kappa.  She taught nursery school in New York and day care children in Connecticut.  Kathy has been on the adjunct Child Development faculty at Brookhaven College.  She has two grown children.  Kathy has taught at the Co-op since 1973, and been the director since 1974.

 

Suzanne Hoffman has attended college in Illinois.  She was a Co-op parent for her two daughters, and began teaching at the Co-op in 1994.  Suzanne has taken Early Childhood Education courses at Brookhaven College.

 

Patti Johnson has a B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Texas at Austin.  She taught Kindergarten at a US Army school in Germany, and has directed and taught in the program for five year olds at her church.  Patti has two grown children, and has been a Co-op parent.  She has taught at the Co-op since 1976.

 

Patty Mallard has a B.F.A from SMU with a major in art education.  She has taught first and third grades and art in Texas public sc ools, and began teaching Young Fours at the Co-op in 1994.  Patty teaches art classes for preschool through elementary age children.  She has two children and is a former Co-op parent. 

  

Anna Curran will teach our Young Two's.  She has an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education from Central Arizona College, has further course work at Arizona State University, and has taught for several years in NAEYC accredited programs.  Most recently she has taught museum art classes for young children.  She has a 2 1/2 year old daughter.


Patricia Carlson  will teach the Mon - Wed Two's and Three's.  She has a B.A and a Master's degree in Elementary Education from Texas Christian University.  She is also certified in Special Education and Kindergarten , has taught 1st and 5th grades in New Mexico and Texas, and was an Instructional Specialist in Richardson.  She will receive her Doctrate of Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix this month (September 2007).  She has a two year old son.



Marni Meek is our new Office Coordinator.  She has a B.A. from UT Austin and is finishing her teacher certificate for 4th - 8th grades.  She was our School Secretary for two years and was a co-op parent for two sons.
