Today, we celebrated Earth Day in our classes. We took a walk to pick up litter and participated in an experiment to purify dirty water. We watercolored coffee filters in the colors of the Earth to show our love for the planet and enjoyed some special Earth Day cupcakes. The children gathered elements found in nature to make art, sorted the fruits of the Earth in our garden box, and shared ideas about how we can all care for our planet and each other.
