Welcoming the Year of the Snake

The students enjoy celebrating the Lunar New Year — the Year of the Snake. We made fried rice and shared our fortune cookies. Every student went home with a beautiful red envelope with a picture of the gold snake. Our hallways are filled with artworks depicting the snake, watercolored lanterns, and gold lettering. We read about the legend of The Great Race and learned about the 12 animals of the Zodiac.
