The oldest classes spent this week learning about penguins. The students are keenly interested in the Arctic world. We painted with watercolors on frozen ice, we took our penguins skating on a pond in our sensory table, read books, and enjoyed bowling with our penguin bowling pins.
The children were in awe of a penguin dad who could keep his egg on his feet for many long weeks. We tried to stand with an egg on our feet to see how long we could manage to protect it from the arctic cold. We could only stand for about three minutes and quickly abandoned our experiment.
