Each November, the students of Northaven Co-operative Preschool make butter for their families using an antique churn, a modern churn and just shaking whipping cream in a jar—all while reciting this familiar poem:

Shake, shake, shake. Butter we must make.
Churn, churn, churn. Now it’s your turn.

We all enjoyed tasting our delicious butter with crackers before packaging our gift to take home.

In this season of thankfulness, we also collected canned goods for the Vickery Meadow Food Pantry.
