We spent last week preparing for Easter and our class egg hunt. We worked together in groups of four to decorate a large paper egg for our bulletin board. In science, we placed peeps in jars of hot water, cold water, vinegar, and orange juice to observe what would happen to our favorite marshmallow treat, and we dyed our Easter eggs. We read books about spring and bunnies, played games, and enjoyed our sensory table filled with cornstarch, eggs, bunnies, and sparkly gems. Our estimation jar was filled with colorful eggs for us to count and we are counting to higher and higher numbers.
The highlight of the week was our Easter egg hunt. Something special happened after our hunt — we found a live baby bunny on the playground stuck in a small place. Our students rescued him and he went hopping to freedom.
We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter Holiday!
